There is a lot of reason as to why i chose to participate in one of my sports. first of all both my sister and my auntie had been trampolining from a very young age therefore these people were my role models, i used to go and watch both my sister and my auntie in competitions, they inspired me to participate as they both won awards in every competition they took part in. secondly i chose to take part in trampolining as there was a local trampolining club near to where i live, i also have a trampoline at my house so it is easy to practice. Finally it is very good for your health, it helps with flexibility and keeps you fit and healthy but is not to strenuous like some sports such as running or swimming, i also have continued it as i enjoy it and i started to win competitions.
The influences towards me participatating in basketball therefore me progressing in basketball and still playing the sport now are, the people- to get me started in basketball, at school there was an assembly where a basketball coach stood at the front and showed an inspiring video clip of what their basketball club consists of, this coach inspired me to want to play basketball, as now i look up to him as a role model. To start with though the cultural facotors of this sport was hard for me as i was the only girl as basketball is mainly a male orientated sport, but this didnt stop me, it actually made me want to go more as it was making me better because i was playing with players who were better than and stronger than me,so actually the cultural factor of me playing in a male orientated sport influenced me to stay in the sport. Finally the recourses of being able to join the club thats in my school and when i first started the training was during lunch time, it was obviosly easy to get to. And now its even better because i have the chance to use destaford sports centres' basketball court to practise and keep fit so i can keep improving my basketball, this is a great recourse as i now have lots of different opportunities to practise.
Many things influenced me to play netball, firstly there is cultural factors. I started playing netball in year 4, belonging to a British junior school, this is the customary sport that is played therefore i got involved during school and also extra-curricular wise. It was people such as my friends that encouraged me to remain involved in the sport. For example the car sharing that occurred to get to matches happened through my friendships and developed them further. Lastly I participate in sport to gain and then maintain health and well-being. Through taking part in Netball it has kept my general fitness up and improved other areas such as my co-operation leadership and teamwork.
I have been playing football ever since i could stand on 2 legs. when I could start to walk my dad would have me running to the ball and dribbling with little size 2 fooballs because my legs couldnt be big enough to kick the ball. When I was about 3 Years old I remember that I had got a football for christmas, size 5 so it was quiet big considering my height at that age, I carried it around wherever I went it was like a teddy when people have it but I had a football for some strange reason. I think the reason why I have started, Played, and stayed in football is because of my dad, he wanted me to be a footballer so he got all the resources for me to become one, e.g the ball at 3 years old. If my dad had a football game on at limpsfield blues on a saturday I remember going with him, sitting in the front (always a big deal at that age) and getting there and already knowing my way to the bar. obviously I got a lemonade. So my dad influenced me to play football, I have stayed in football because I love it so much i always think, why do people do something that they dont like ?
The three things which have infuenced me in taking part in my chosen sport is people, resources and health and well being. There are a few people who have infuenced me to my chosen sport, one in which was one of my closest friends in primary school, they had joined a running club and told me that i should join. I did, and have never looked back. Another person who has infuenced me is my dad. My dad has done numerous amounts of races and i really feel as if that was something i would like to do. I love taking part in running as there are no resources required, so i can run at any time and anywhere compared to swimmers as they have to wait for the pool to open for them to swim. Finally health and well being, I know that i dont have any heart or health problems which would affect my running, so i know i would be able to run healthily and would not have a disadvantage compared to some other runners.
I have been playing football ever since I could barely walk and a big influence of this was that football is a big part of my family's life my dad played football at a high level as well as my grandad so I grew up with an environment where football came naturally to me . Also another influence was that there are a numerous amount of local clubs near where I live so it was very easy to go & join a club when I was 6 & the last big influence on me was resources , as my dad was willing to buy me training equipment to train me 1 on 1 over the park & ever since my infants school iv been able to take part in football ( training or matches )
i have played for a football team since the age of 7 which has been influenced in a big way from my older brother who also plays too and my dad from taking me to see my idols at chelsea matches who i inspired to be like when i grew up. Another influence was my local area which had plenty of football clubs at different levels of ability which suited my standard. finally another influence on my sport was my friends because every season i would swap from a good standard to playing with my friends which kept me involved in the sport.
One of the main things that has influenced me to play my chosen sport are the people. My mum, dad and brother are all big football fans and my dad and brother participate in the sport. This made me want to also participate in that sport too! I also looked up to the likes of Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen when i was growing up, I always wanted to be like them, grow up and become a professional football player. Another influence is that there are a range of decent local football clubs in my area, This gave me the chance to join a club, train and become better at football. I started playing football at a very young age and have kept on playing ever since. The last influence on me playing my sport is the resources, everything i needed to enjoy my sport was supplied for by my parents, all you really need is a ball. I have a playing field minutes from my house with goals that are up and free to play in, this is great as i can go there when i wish and practice to become better at my sport. Football has also kept me in ok shape and given me good general health and fitness.
There are alot of influences that made me get involved in my chosen sport of swimming.Three of the main ones was people, resources and health and well-being.Both of my older sisters had been taking part in swimming lessons from the age of about 2 or 3 which then lead on to them taking part in lots of swimming galas which i watched. It then inspired me to take part.My mum also thought it was important for me to learn how to swim from a really young age and i have been doing it ever since.I also lived 2mins away from a swimming pool which made it easy accessible.Lastly was health and well-being as swimming keeps you in great shape and is the only sport which exercises all of the major muscles at the same time and helps you to burn any unwanted fat.
i'v been playing basketball for a long time now but the main reasons on why i started is because of the resources in my old school. I wouldn't have carried on playing otherwise. There were 2 courts in the playground which meant 4 hoops, and because basketball was no where near as popular as football, there would always be a free basket, so this would help improve my performance. My second influence is the people who have helped me get to where i am now, such as my coach in the old school always made the lessons fun but at the same time was improving your performance of play every time you attended the lesson. My friends were also really interested in playing the sport which meant it was always good fun and you never got bored. My third influence is image, iv seen videos of previous basketball highlights and some of the videos are so incredible that it boosts my self esteem to try and achieve what they can achieve. Some of the players such as LeBron James and Dwyane Wade i have looked up numerous amounts of time and watching them makes me want to do the same things that they can do, this means i push my self even more to try and become as good as them.
I have been playing football from a very young age and even loved the sport well before i started playing it. My brother played at a high level before i started playing and i use to watch him and this made me have a greater love for the sport. I live in an area with lots of clubs so i had the resources to me to start playing. And when i was young my dad had a season ticket for arsenal so going to see a high standard club really helped me and influenced me because was seeing great players in the premier league.
The three main influences that got me involved in swimming are people, resources and health and wellbeing. My mum introduced me to swimming and started taking me to lessons when I was 2 years old as she believed that it was important for me to learn and both my parents have always encouraged me to continue swimming as I was growing up. I have taken part in a few galas and I still have lessons each week but have progressed to do life saving now instead. There are lots of swimming pools within my local area which are very easy to access and are available for anybody to use. Certain swimming pools are open late in the evening so more people can use the facilities. Finally, swimming is also a good sport to take part in as it keeps you healthy and active and works different parts of the body all at once. As a result of regular exercise, your circulatory system stays healthy helping to prevent any possible illnesses or health problems.
i have been playing football from a young age i have had many influences in my family as both of my grandads played a very high standard of football which made me want to play the sport and my grandad took me to loads of crystal palace games and i found it very interesting which made me want to play the sport and also from where im from there are a lot of football clubs where i am so i had a big choice to choose from.
i have only started playing rugby for ashort time of 2 years i got influenced by watching the game on tv one day so the media was a big influence for me. i lke contact sports so this was suitable for me so i went to a rugby training seshion and i enjoyed so i decided to go into the schools mixed year 10 & 11 team. Health and well being was also a major influence as by playing rugby as i would improve my cv system over time and make myself fiter.the last major influence for me is resources, for rugby the rugby posts are only needed which the school has but i can pratice my catching and drop kicks in my back garden as rugby balls are in expensive aswell.
I have been cycling for about 3 1/2 years now and the thing that have influenced me to start this sport and stay in it are Social Economics, People and Resources. The people that influenced me into starting cycling is my dad. My dad would give me the motivation every Sunday morning to get up and go mountain biking with him and his mates, and I would (every now and then). When I first started to get into the sport my dad bought me a bike (that I am still using today) and I used to go out with my dad around the area and because we live at the top of a hill it is very easy for me to quickly get into the sport. And that point brings me onto my last influences which is resources and I didn't need to buy much to get into the sport but the bike and the armour and as I live on a hill so there are very close tracks I can go to e.g butterfly walk (which is the worst) and Bug Hill
There were many things that influenced me into taking part in my sport. The people around me, my dad used to do running as i was growing up so i would go to watch and support him. My brother also did running when i started so we could go out trainging together and he influenced me alot.
In my area there is alot of places to run easily and safely so i could do it easily and any time. There was also good facilities in my area like a local club which trained near my house so i could go to training easily and regularly.
My dad would always buy me any equipment or gear that i needed to improve, train or compete. I also had links through my dad to use training equipment and facilities easily.
